Technical and Content Requirements

Below you'll find the types of creatives our system can accept:

  • Image: A basic image creative. Requires a GIF, JPG, or PNG file + a landing page URL. The file should
    not exceed 60kb.
  • DoubleClick tag: A creative hosted by DoubleClick. Provide a URL rather than a snippet for the creative.
  • Third Party Tag: A highly customizable, interactive creative. You can use any custom HTML and
JavaScript snippets as well as tags from a third-party ad server or DoubleClick for Advertisers.
    • Must be https – http-embedded tags cannot be viewed on any Investing.com domain.
    • If you choose to use this option, we would request you to mark the placement in the code where we can insert a click tracking Macro, in order for us to track clicks and CTR from our end.
    • The tags should also contain backup static images in the creative pool.
  • Flash banners (Not Advised, as several browsers block this format):
A creative containing animation, or interactive features. Requires a Flash (SWF) file, with a clickTAG implemented (file attached) + a landing page URL. The files should not exceed 60kb.
    • HTML5 ONLY
    • Flash Player Version should be equal to, or lower than = 10.1
    • swf version should be equal to, or lower than = 10
    • Please also send fall-back gif/jpg images, for devices that do not support flash ads.
    • The landing page URLs should be sent separately (do not embed the LP in the file), in any plain text document you  choose (Word, txt, etc.). It's also advised the URL contain a tracking ID in order to track where the clicks come from.
    • Flash to HTML5 converter: https://developers.google.com/swiffy/
    • HTML5 Tutorial: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

clickTAG implementation

  • Insert the clickTAG in the .fla file before converting it to the .swf file that is uploaded in DFP.
  • The clickTAG variable is properly implemented in the action of the button. In the getURL()function of the action, make sure to specify the clickthrough URL as clickTAG and the target window as "_blank".
  • Insert the clickTAG in the .fla file before converting it to the .swf file that is uploaded in DFP.
  • Example 1 : getURL(clickTAG,"_blank");.
  • Example 2: on (release) {getURL(_level0.clickTAG,"_blank")
  • The button associated with the ActionScript that contains the clickTAG is on the top-most layer through the timeline.
  • The button associated with the ActionScript that contains the clickTAG is extended throughout the entire frame and is applied to all existing frames.

A more detailed documentation for clickTAG implementations can be reviewed in the below link:
